What Are Erogenous Zones?
Erogenous zones are places on the body that trigger sexual arousal. Many people don’t realize that there are tons of erogenous zones that are nowhere near your genitals. Knowing more about these zones can help you and your lover(s) experience so much more pleasure! (P.S. Did you know that some zones differ between vulva owners and penis owners?)
Erogenous Zones for Vulva Owners
Of course, most of us already know the basic erogenous areas for those with vaginas: the breasts, nipples, lips, vulva, perineum, and anus. But did you know the scalp is one as well? A couple other lesser-known erogenous zones are behind the knees and the inner wrist. Erogenous zones all over the body are one of the reasons a full-body massage feels so intimate and pleasurable. Other erogenous zones for vulva owners include: the nape of the neck, inner thighs, lower abdomen, and the upper/lower back.
Erogenous Zones for Penis Owners
The most commonly known erogenous zones for penis owners are where you might imagine the penis and anus. But there are many other spots that can bring a penis owner to their knees. Some zones also include; lips, nipples, buttocks, scalp, abdomen, inner thighs, and lower abdomen. One of our favorite hidden gems for penis owners is the earlobes! Of course, you can’t forget about the upper and lower back.
Finding Your Erogenous Zones
Now, don’t worry if you or your partner don’t get aroused by every spot listed! Also, it is totally okay if you’re a vulva owner and get aroused from a spot that is technically an erogenous zone for a penis owner, or the other way around! Everyone is different and feels pleasure in different ways. This list just gives you a baseline for where to start! Have fun and explore you and your partner’s body to find what spots get you going.
